In a heartfelt video shared by Star Sports on social media, Virat Kohli’s teammates, Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammed Shami, came together to celebrate the Indian stalwart ahead of his landmark 300th ODI, set to be played against New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy group stage on March 2.

The video, brimming with heartfelt notes from every player, saw the players lauding Virat Kohli’s relentless passion, leadership, and dedication while wishing him luck for the historic clash in Dubai.

Teammates Rally Behind Kohli For 300th ODI Match

In the 1:30-minute video, Kohli was congratulated and lauded by his teammates with heartfelt words. Shreyas Iyer shared his wish to play many more games while Kuldeep Yadav talked about his hard work and discipline.

"You have set a benchmark for a lot of youngsters out their, and I am looking forward to play alongside you in many more games," Shreyas said.

"Many congratulations for playing 300 ODis for India. Aap 300 matches complete karenge toh isse pata chalta hai ki jo apki journey rahi hai puri dedication aur discipline se bhari rahi hai," remarked Kuldeep.

Kohli’s 300th ODI not only cements his legacy as one of India’s greatest cricketers but also presents an opportunity to shatter multiple records which includes having the most runs for India in Champions Trophy History needing 51 more to surpass Shikhar Dhawan’s tally of 701 and become India’s leading run-scorer in the tournament.

Alongside other accomplishments, a half-century would give Kohli seven 50+ scores in Champions Trophy history and 24 across ICC ODI tournaments, both unprecedented milestones.

Wife Anushka Sharma to Attend Kohli's Landmark Game

Adding emotional weight to the occasion, Kohli’s wife, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma, and elder brother Vikas Kohli have been reported to be present in Dubai to witness his 300th ODI.

Despite scrutiny over his form earlier this year, Kohli roared back with a match-winning 100* against Pakistan in Dubai, marking his 51st ODI century and becoming the fastest to 14,000 ODI runs. In 299 ODIs, he has amassed 14,085 runs at an average of 58.20, including 51 hundreds and 73 fifties.

With India and New Zealand already qualified for the semi-finals, the match holds greater significance for Kohli’s legacy. As teammates and fans rally behind him, all eyes will be on Dubai to see if the modern-day maestro can turn his milestone game into another iconic chapter.
