In a heart-wrenching incident in West Bengal's Bankura district, a 23-year-old man, identified as Rahul Lohar, allegedly died by suicide after India's defeat to Australia in the World Cup final. The tragic incident unfolded around 11 pm on Sunday, not long after the nail-biting clash concluded in favor of Australia.

Rahul Lohar, who worked at a local clothing store, had taken a day off to witness the highly anticipated match. Devastated by India's loss, he took his own life in his room, leaving his family and community in shock. According to NDTV, his brother-in-law, Uttam Sur, there were no apparent issues in Rahul's life that would have led to such a drastic step.

The police, upon discovering the incident, promptly registered a case of unnatural death. Rahul's body was sent for a post-mortem examination at the Bankura Sammilani Medical College and Hospital. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event but have refrained from commenting on the specific reasons for his death.

The loss in the World Cup final to Australia had a profound impact on Rahul, highlighting the emotional investment that sports enthusiasts often make in such high-stakes events.

This unfortunate incident serves as a poignant reminder of the broader implications of emotional distress and the need for mental health awareness and support.
