Australia's Adelaide Oval has been a fortress for the home side in Day-Night Test matches, and so far, they have maintained a clean record with seven wins. Just five sleeps away, India will once again meet Australia for the Pink-Ball Test.

Speaking historically, the Aussies have defeated New Zealand by three wickets when they first hosted a Day-Night Test in Adelaide in 2015. Since then, they have won matches against South Africa, England, Pakistan, India, and the West Indies. They have been almost unbeatable at this venue in pink-ball cricket.

India's Form Gives Hope

Focusing on the Indian team, they have appeared to be in perfect form ahead of the key  challenge. Both batters and bowlers have shown promising signs in the first Test and the on-going warm-up game.

Virat Kohli, who slammed his record-breaking 81st ton in Perth, has been in sublime touch, promising opener and 161-run machine Yashasvi Jaiswal, along wiith established players like KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Nitish Kumar Reddy all have looked excellent so far. The bowling department has also delivered exceptional results especially Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, and Harshit Rana, thus, providing confidence to the Indian camp before the tough assignment in Adelaide.

India's Lowest Test Total Of 36 All Out in Adelaide

The last game India played against Australia in Adelaide was in 2020, and it was a pink-ball Test. India seemed promising at one stage, with Kohli's 74 giving the side a competitive total of 244. Australia replied with 191 but still left India in a tight spot.

From 9/1, India's batting imploded, crumpling to a mere 36, their lowest-ever total in Test cricket. Hazlewood and Cummins destroyed the Indian batting, taking nine wickets between them. Chasing just 90 runs, Australia sealed an easy 8-wicket victory. This demoralising defeat highlighted the challenges of playing with the pink ball under lights and revealed Australia's dominance with their lethal pace attack at their home.
