India will be taking on England in the second semifinal of the T20 World Cup 2024. This match will be played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on June 27 at 8:00 PM IST.

India have played clinical cricket so far. They have answered all the challenges that they have faced in the tournament commandingly and have moved more or less smoothly to the semifinals.

England now stands on the path of India and the final of the tournament. Rohit Sharma and his men will surely remember the thrashing they received against the same opponents in the semifinal of the T20 World Cup 2022. This a chance for the team to avenge that defeat and book a berth in the summit clash of this tournament. In their attempt to overhaul the English team, India will be largely looking on some players to perform for them.

1.Rohit Sharma

The Indian skipper has had a hot and cold tournament so far with the bat. However, in the last game against Australia, Rohit Sharma brought out his A-game and decimated the Australian bowling.

With his destructive 92 off 41, Rohit Sharma got the momentum that the team management would have liked him to get ahead of the all-important semi-final. If the Indian-skipper can come put with same mindset against England and play as fearlessly as he did against the Aussies, then he will play a big role in India's win.

2. Kuldeep Yadav

The Indian left-arm wrist spinner made his way into the playing XI from the Super Eight contests of the tournament. In three games, Kuldeep Yadav has picked up seven wickets with an economy of just 6.25. He has given stability, variation and depth to the Indian bowling in the tournament.

His current form combined with his previous records against England in T20Is make him a probable match-winner for India. In two games that Kuldeep has played previously against the England, he has picked up five wickets at an economy of 7.25. These numbers will surely encourage the Indian fans and also the management.

3. Virat Kohli

The Indian superstar is having his T20 World Cup with the bat. Virat Kohli has so far failed to fire and looked miserably out of touch.

However, there is a something encouraging for the Indian fans in his previous performances at T20 World Cup semi-finals. Kohli has played three innings at this stage previously and has scored 211 runs in them with a half-century in all three occasions.

Given his love for the big stages and the fact that he is due for a solid performances, Kohli looks a prime contender as the match-winner for India.
