For the penultimate match of the Coimbatore leg of the TNPL 2024 season, Salem Spartans will meet Chepauk Super Gillies at SNR College Cricket Ground on July 18 from 7.15 PM IST onwards.

Salem Spartans have emerged as the worst team of TNPL 2024 season as it tumbled down to the bottom of the table following a 35 run loss to Trichy Grand Cholas.

Sanjay Yadav’s 68 off 33 balls knock set up a 199-run target for Salem. However, in the chase, the Spartans wasted good starts and gifted crucial wickets at regular intervals before eventually getting bowled out for 163 runs.

With that, Salem Spartans lost their third game and are seated at the bottom with 2 points in four games. A comeback into the playoffs from here is not impossible but surely challenging.
