India and Sri Lanka are set to face off in the second T20I match at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on July 28.

In the previous match, India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, secured a comprehensive 43-run victory over the hosts. Batting first, India posted a formidable total of 213 runs.

In response, Sri Lanka struggled, with their middle order collapsing, and were bowled out for 170 runs in 19.2 overs. Charith Asalanka’s valiant effort went in vain as the team failed to chase down the target.

As the teams prepare for the second clash, Suryakumar Yadav may consider making some strategic changes to the playing XI.

One potential change could be the inclusion of Sanju Samson in place of Rishabh Pant. Despite Pant's impressive 49 runs off 33 balls in the first T20I, the team management might want to experiment with the Kerala batter.

Additionally, there could be a change in the bowling department, with Khaleel Ahmed potentially replacing Mohammed Siraj. Ahmed's inclusion would provide a different dynamic to India's bowling attack, while the rest of the team is likely to remain unchanged.

India had rested Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, and Khaleel Ahmed for the first T20I. Although changes in the playing XI are not highly anticipated, the Indian team management might still look to tweak their lineup to optimize performance.
