The T20 World Cup 2026 is less than two months away, and the preparations are already in full swing. Recently, the BCCI released India’s 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2026. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the side, and interestingly, the critics were quick to slam the skipper for his dismal form with the bat.

The right-handed batter is going through a lean patch with the bat as the 35-year-old registered his worst year with the bat. In 2025, SKY amassed just 218 runs in 19 innings, averaging just 13.83. There is a cry over SKY’s place in the team, and the fans have united to voice in unison for Yadav’s ouster from the leadership role, labelling him as the team’s weak link.

SKY is indeed struggling for form, but is he the only captain among full-member nations who are going through a dry patch? This article will, in fact, look at the performances of other captains, who will be leading their respective nations in the T20 World Cup, and analyse their form ahead of the prestigious twenty-over format.
