The stage is set for a riveting battle as the Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match number 23 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Both the teams are coming on the back of stellar wins and will look to continue the juggernaut, especially GT who are on a rampage.

The Shubman Gill led Gujarat Titans thumped RCB and SRH in their last two matches and will be eager to make it a hat-trick against the Rajasthan side. However, before the clash we look at GT's probable XI, with a surprising exclusion on the cards.

The IPL 2025 has not been kind for the IPL and Gujarat superstar as the batters have found him out and they have played him with utmost ease. There was a time when Rashid was a guaranteed wicket-taker for his team, but now that doesn't happen.

An average of 143 with the ball and just a solitary wicket. to show, Gill and GT will be disappointed with the all-rounder but will they drop him?. The issue is, Gill's team doesn't have a like-to-like replacement for Rashid and even if they drop him, who will replace him? Hence, a couple of more matches will be given to Rashid to get his mojo back.

Kagiso Rabada back?

The match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium and it is condusive for the fast bowlers. GT already have a red-hot Mohammed Siraj in their linup but to put pressure on a strong RR batting, they need another quality bowler from the other end.

The team does have Kagiso Rabada in their lineup, but he flew back to South Africa due to personal reasons, but there is no confirmation on his imminent return. If he is back, Rabada should slot in the playing XI, but most likely, he won't be there.

GT won their last two matches and shouldn't make changes unless there are injury concerns. Hence, they might go ahead with the same playing XI for the RR match.
