Rajasthan Royals (RR) stand tall in the ongoing IPL 2024 season, having won eight out of ten matches. 

Despite being the table-toppers since the beginning, they faced a setback after losing their previous match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, demoting them to the second spot on the points table, with Kolkata Knight Riders taking the lead.

With just one more victory, the Rajasthan Royals can secure their place in the playoffs, which makes their upcoming match against the Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 7th crucial. 

As they prepare for this significant game, they are considering some minor adjustments to their playing XI.


In the top order, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler have displayed great form and won matches with their stellar performances. With the middle order also performing well, it's likely RR will stick with the same batting-lineup.

On the bowling front, Sandeep Sharma, Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal will be aiming for a win with their deadly bowling performances. 

However, RR skipper Sanju Samson might drop Ravichandran Ashwin, as the all-rounder failed to contribute with bat or ball. 

He failed to scalp any wickets while conceding 36 runs against SRH, and in the last six innings, he has only claimed one wicket in IPL 2024.
