The Indian skipper and opener put in a stellar show in the tournament. Rohit Sharma led India's team from the front and delivered with the bat in most of the games.

He played a crucial role as an opening batter and formed the base of Indian wins in the majority of the matches.

His leadership skills were the best during the tournament. Rohit brought four spinners and used them very cleverly during the tournament.

Leading from the front, strategic brilliance and adapting to match situations everything makes Sharma the rightful captain of the Team of the Tournament.

Middle-Order

Andries Gous (USA) (wk)

Matches: 6 Runs: 219 Avg: 43.80 Strike Rate: 151.03

The USA keeper batter was one of the most consistent performers for the team in the tournament.

After a terrible time in IPL 2024, Hardik Pandya redeemed himself with a brilliant and impactful performance in T20 World Cup 2024.

Pandya has played a couple of knocks that bailed Team India out of pressure and has done a decent job with the ball in most games.

In the US leg of the tournament, Pandya turned out to be one of the prime wicket-takers for his team. He continued his form into the WI leg and played a decent second fiddle to the main bowlers.

Rashid Khan (AFG)

The pressure brought the best out of him, and he put forward a great example of his team to follow.

Pacers

Kagiso Rabada (SA)

But Bumrah has not only been economical, but he has also picked up wickets in crucial stages and all the phases of a game. It was a near-perfect tournament for the pacer, and no one could think of a team in the tournament without Bumrah.
