MI players who could be dropped [Source: AP Photo]
The Mumbai Indians are under immense pressure after losing back-to-back games against Chennai Super Kings and the Gujarat Titans. now, their focus shifts towards the upcoming IPL 2025 challenge against the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders. The 5-time champions need to win this contest to get their campaign back on track.
The team looked undercooked in the first two matches and need to be at their best to beat a formidable KKR side who won their previous match against Rajasthan Royals. MI were tactically outclassed in their last matches, and there have been several non-performers in the side. Here are 3 such players, who could be dropped for the next match if they fail Vs KKR.
1) Rohit Sharma
Perhaps the biggest concern for Mumbai Indians is the form of Rohit Sharma. The opening batter scored a duck in the first match against CSK and couldn't do much in the second game against GT as the side lost both the matches. Barring last season, Rohit has been underwhelming for the last 5-6 seasons and MI need to make a call on him.

Rohit is certainly not getting any younger and if he doesn't perform against KKR, it will be his third failure in a row and perhaps a rest could do wonders for the India ODI and Test captain.
2) Ryan Rickelton
There were lots of hopes when MI bought Ryan Rickelton as the South African had a great international season. However, two matches in and it looks like the decision to buy him was a disaster.

The team already has Will Jacks warming the bench and he should bat at his usual position from the next match if Rickelton fails.
3) Satyanarayana Raju
Hardik Pandya sprung a surprise as he opted to drop the star against CSK, Vignesh Puthur and instead, played Satyanarayana Raju in the playing XI against the Gujarat Titans.
The decision back-fire as Raju conceded 40 runs in 3 overs and picked up a solitary wicket as the GT batters mounted pressure on him.

For the cash against KKR, Hardik might go in with Raju once again, but if he fails to deliver, Vignesh has to start from the next match onwards.
