LSG - (Source : @Johns/X.com)
On Tuesday, April 8, Lucknow Super Giants will lock horns against KKR in the first match of a doubleheader Tuesday at the Eden Gardens. Both teams are fresh off a win and would look to extend their winning run.
KKR and LSG are placed 5th and 6th on the table as they have two wins in four matches. Ahead of the upcoming match, let's look at LSG's probable XI.
No Changes At The Top
Earlier there were discussions that LSG might look to replace Aiden Markram with Mathew Breetzke, but the South Africa opener has shown promise and has formed a great pair with Mitchell Marsh. Thus, one should expect no changes at the top.
Solid Middle-Order With Nicholas Pooran And Rishabh Pant
LSG also have a solid middle-order as Nicholas Pooran is leading the run-chart with 201 runs in four matches. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant is struggling for runs, but his run-scoring ability is a proven-fact and the southpaw can return among runs at any moment.
Further, Ayush Badoni, David Miller and Abdul Samad have also done well in the middle-order and contributed given the fewer number of balls they get to face. However, the issue lies in the bowling and that is where the management might look for a few changes.
Possible Changes For LSG vs KKR? Mayank Yadav To Return?
For the fans, who are waiting for Mayank Yadav's return to LSG camp, they have wait a bit more as the speedster won't return for KKR clash. Further, LSG aren't expected to make any changes to the playing XI and are likely to go ahead with same XI.
