Lucknow Super Giants will be looking for ways to return to their winning form as they take on the Rajasthan Royals in the 26th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Wednesday, April 19th at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

They have performed well as a unit in the tournament so far, but there are still some areas that need to be refined. Additionally, the return of their star pacer Mohsin Khan, who was out of action due to injury, is set to give them a significant boost.

With that in mind, let's examine the predicted playing XI for the Lucknow Super Giants for this encounter:

Openers: KL Rahul, Kyle Mayers/Quinton de Kock

Following much anticipation, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, KL Rahul, who has been the most consistent run-getter in the lucrative league in the past, finally rose to the occasion and scored a half-century against the Punjab Kings in their most recent match. He led the batting charge alone when other batters failed to fire, smacking 74 runs off 56 balls.

The Super Giants are no strangers to selection conundrum, and their latest dilemma is no exception: should they stick with Kyle Mayers, who has struggled in recent matches after a strong start to the tournament, or turn to Quinton de Kock, the star South African batter who is yet to get any playing time with the Super Giants this season.

Middle Order: Deepak Hooda, Marcus Stoinis, Krunal Pandya, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Ayush Badoni

Lucknow Super Giants' middle order has been a mixed bag this season, with Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis leading the way but struggling to find consistent support from the other end. Krunal Pandya and Ayush Badoni also looked inconsistent so far with the bat.

Deepak Hooda, in particular, has been a major disappointment for them with just 37 runs from five matches at an average of 7.40 and a strike rate of 82.20. If Lucknow wants to turn their fortunes around, they will need to find a way to get their middle order firing on all cylinders.

Bowlers: Avesh Khan/Mohsin Khan, Yudhvir Singh Charak, Mark Wood, Ravi Bishnoi

Lucknow's bowling lineup is set to undergo some changes, with Mohsin Khan expected to replace the struggling Avesh Khan, who has only managed to pick up three wickets from four matches while bowling at an economy of over 10.

Meanwhile, Yudhvir Singh Charak, who made a memorable debut in the last match against Punjab Kings, taking two wickets in just two overs and conceding runs at an economy of under seven is expected to retain his place in the lineup.

They will also be relying on Mark Wood, who leads the bowling charts with 11 wickets from five matches, to deliver another match-winning performance while Ravi Bishnoi will be spearheading the spin department for Lucknow.
