Pat Cummins To Replace Mayank Markande With Sundar; SRH’s Probable XI For IPL 2024 Vs PBKS

Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have been referred to as giant killers in the ongoing IPL 2024, will take on Punjab Kings on Tuesday in Match 23 of the IPL 2024 at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur.

The Pat Cummins-led side have won two and lost as many this season, but both their victories came against Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, the two franchises that enjoy winning 10 IPL titles together.

Cummins made a few bold moves, with both Rahul Tripathi and Mayank Agarwal being benched, grabbing a lot of headlines. The reigning ODI World Cup-winning captain still needs quite a few areas to address, and the biggest of all is the fragile spin department.

Of course, Wanindu Hasaranga being ruled out of the entire season was a huge blow for SRH. In his absence, Mayank Markande has been failing to fill the shoes, whereas Shahbaz Ahmed hasn’t been bowling quite well.

Given the fact that the fingers spinners bowled economically last time at this venue during the Punjab versus Delhi clash, Cummins may bring back Washington Sundar to replace Mayank Markande. Sundar doesn’t concede much often, and replacing Markande with him should not be a bad idea.

Among the others, no changes are likely to be made, with Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head continuing at the top. Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, Abdul Samad, Nitish Reddy, and Shahbaz Ahmed will follow them, while the bowling department will be taken care of by Cummins, Jaydev Unadkat, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, and Sundar.
