Krunal Pandya took two wickets in four balls (X.com)
Lucknow Super Giants’ former vice-captain Krunal Pandya bowled magnificently well on Sunday to take his side to a strong position against Gujarat Titans in Match 21 of the IPL 2024 at Ekana Cricket Stadium.
More significantly, the manner in which he dismissed a well-set Sai Sudharsan and the debutant BR Sharath in the space of four balls spoke volumes, taking the game away from the Titans after they came to chase a modest target of 164.
Krunal bowled a short delivery on middle and leg stump, and Sudarshan, batting on 31 off 23 balls, went for a pull shot in an attempt for six. However, he was beaten by the extra pace, which clocked at 100.3kph, resulting in him holing out to Ravi Bishnoi at deep mid-wicket.
Three balls later, BR Sharath was dismissed similarly, as Ayush Badoni took an easy catch near the boundary line to end his stay for a five-ball two.
