On Tuesday, December 26, 369 players were up for sale during the IPL 2026 mini-auction in the UAE. 77 players found interest and were sold during the mega-event. Hefty amounts of money was spent during some intense bidding wars.

The highlight of the day was Cameron Green going for 25.20 crores, making him the most-expensive overseas buy in the history of the league. Notably, five players fetched more than 10 crores. Henceforth, there is a curiosity among the fans as to which player has witnessed the biggest rise in salary from IPL 2025 to IPL 2026.

Meanwhile, this article will shed light on the biggest hikes in salary compared to the previous season.

5. Liam Livingstone

The fifth biggest hike in IPL salary was of Liam Livingstone. The ex-RCB star earned a whopping 8.75 crores, but was the sole weak link in the title-winning season. The defending champions decided to release him, resulting in a bidding war during IPL 2026 mini-auction.

SRH and LSG were after Liam Livingstone, eventually going to the Sunrisers for a whopping 13 crores, seeing a 48.57% hike.

Livingstone salary = 8.75 crores to 13 crores = 48.57%

4. Mustafizur Rahman

Interestingly, Mustafizur Rahman was not a part of IPL 2025 till the business end when Delhi Capitals brought in Fizz as a late replacement to Jake Fraser McGurk. The left-arm seamer played just three games but earned a whopping 6 crores for his short stint.

During IPL 2026 mini-auction, Fizz triggered a bidding war between Delhi Capitals, KKR, and CSK, eventually bagging a 9.2 crore deal with the Knight Riders.

Now, Fizz has witnessed a whopping 53.33% rise in his salary from 6 crores to 9.20 crores.

Fizz salary = 6crores - 9.2 crore = 53.33% hike

3. Rahul Chahar

Rahul Chahar went unsold in IPL 2026 mini-auction, but garnered interest during the accelerated round. Chahar triggered a bidding war between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings, before the five-time winners bagged leggie's services for a whopping 5.20 crores.

For IPL 2025, Chahar featured for Sunrisers Hyderabad and earned 3.20 crores. Now, after the latest lucrative offer, Chahar witnessed a rise of 2 crores in his salary, which equates to 62.5%.

2. Lungi Ngidi

Interestingly, Lungi Ngidi is second on the list as the right-arm seamer from South Africa fetched a 2 crore deal with the Delhi Capitals for IPL 2026. Ngidi played for RCB in IPL 2025 at a salary of 1 crore.

Now, he has earned a 1 crore hike, which equates to a 100% rise, making him get the second-biggest hike in IPL salary.

1. Josh Inglis

Josh Inglis had featured for Punjab Kings in IPL 2025 after getting picked for 2.6 crores. The right-handed batter put on a solid show with the bat, but was released ahead of the new season because of availability concerns.

Despite limited availability, Lucknow Super Giants showed interest and roped in the Aussie talent for a whopping 8.6 crores. Inglis saw a massive jump of 6 crores in his IPL salary, which equates to a 230.77% rise, the biggest for any player in the upcoming season.
