Suryakumar Yadav has been one of the most impactful batters in the tournament's history. He has been the hero of innumerable matches for the Mumbai Indians in the tournament. The Indian batter has scored 3,594 runs in the tournament at an average of 32.38 and a strike rate of 145.33. 

MS Dhoni has been one of the best finishers in the tournament. He has also made himself a legend when it comes to unique keeping skills. The fact that he has led CSK to five IPL titles and 10 finals makes him the right candidate to be the skipper. Dhoni has scored 5,243 runs in the tournament at an average of 39.10 and a strike rate of 137.5.

Mohammad Shami can be a very effective bowler in the tournament. The Bengal pacer has played 77 matches in the tournament and has picked up 79 wickets in them at an average of 30.41 and at an economy of 8.63. The fact that he deliver effectively at all the stages of a game makes him a very important presence in the team.
