National Stadium Karachi Is It Batting Or Bowling Friendly?

Karachi Stadium hosted a game yesterday evening, and most likely a used surface will be there for today's clash between Karachi and Peshawar. In yesterday's game the pitch was on the slower side as Karachi barely managed to post 128/7.

The target was chased down in 17 overs, but if the match will be played on the same strip then expect the conditions to be on the slower side tonight. The Karachi pitch will be useful for the batters in the first innings, but as the match progresses chasing could be tough on the same pitch which could be worn out.

As the trend suggests, throughout the PSL 2025 season at this venue, pacers get purchase in the initial few overs as they get lateral movement but once the ball gets older, spinners come into play at this venue.

There are two conditions which apply for the upcoming clash - if a new surface is used, then the toss winning captain would like to bowl first, however, if the same strip is used, expect the captain to bat first after winning the toss.
