Naseem Shah To Lead Pace Attack; Islamabad United Probable XI vs Multan Sultans

The Pakistan Super League 2024 has started off with a bang, with plenty of high-scoring encounters creating a buzz around the tournament. In the 5th game of the season, we have Multan Sultans locking horns against Islamabad United.

Both teams have played only one game so far and have started off with a win. Shadab Khan-led Islamabad United pulled off a clinical chase against defending champions Lahore Qalandars and registered a comprehensive 8-wicket win.

Multan Sultans too were impressive in the opening game and after scoring 185 with the bat, their bowlers restricted Karachi to just 130 on a good batting deck. So, Islamabad United need to be top of their game against a well-oiled unit like Multan Sultans and let's see what would be their probable arsenal for the all-important clash.

Islamabad United have explosive batting line-up with dynamic duo of Alex Hales and Colin Munro at the top of the order. Hales scored 38 in the first game and would be itching to convert his start while Munro was the only one of the four batters, who departed early.

Shadab Khan batted at 3 and scored fifty while Agha Salman also played a brilliant knock of 64. Haider Ali did not bat in the last game but he might take the number 3 position if wicket falls early, followed by Shadab Khan and Agha Salman. Azam Khan with his power-hitting skills will be a crucial player along with all-rounders, Imad Wasim and Faheem Ashraf.

Naseem Shah will lead the pace attack along which consists of likes of Tymal Mills and 18-year-old Ubaid Shah.

Overall, Islamabad United are a strong unit with all bases covered and good depth in batting and bowling department. Expect them to deliver another strong performance.
