Next week, on December 16, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini auction will take place as all ten franchises will aim to strengthen their squad by adding players in their ranks. 350 names will officially go under the hammer and seven Bangladesh players have also given their names in the auction list.

Bangladesh players have a huge fan base in some parts of India and they have several key players and proven performers who can be sold in the IPL 2026 mini auction. Here are 3 such players who might get a buyer in the auction next week.

Mustafizur Rahman, Rishad Hossain, Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Rakibul Hasan

1) Mustafizur Rahman

A proven performer in the IPL, Mustafizur Rahman, the Bangladesh left-arm pacer has the experience of playing in the league and also has won the IPL title once (2016) with the Sunrisers Hyderabad.His left-arm angle and the beautifully executed cutters have troubled countless batters in the league, and his presence will certainly bolster the bowling of that franchise.

• 60 IPL matches played and 65 wickets taken, Mustafiz has done extremely well in the IPL and the player also has an economy of just 7.91, showcasing his control over his lines and lengths.
• Moreover, he can ball in all three phases of the game (powerplay, middle-overs, death overs), and having such a quality is rare in a bowler as teams love such players.

With Anrich Nortje and Spencer Johnson gone, KKR need a quality foreign pacer in their ranks and Mustafizur fits the bill perfectly. Moreover, the dual nature wicket of the Eden Gardens will help his bowling as the Bangladesh pacer can execute his cutters.

2) Rishad Hossain

Quality leg-spinners are a rare commodity in cricket at the moment, but the Bangladesh side has one of the best in the business in Rishad Hossain. The tall leg-spinner has owned the T20I format and the stats reveal the entire story.

• 55 matches and 71 T20I wickets already, Rishad Hossain has been exceptional for the Tigers, and so much so, that one of their premium spinners, Nasum Ahmed has been warming the bench because Rishad has become the number one spinner of their side.

Teams that can target Rishad

There is one particular team in the IPL that only has one spinner, and they are in need of another wicket-taking spin-bowler - the Rajasthan Royals. The team released both Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana, but they acquired Ravindra Jadeja from CSK in a trade deal.

Rishad can solve their spin-bowling option as he could be useful on the Sawai Mansingh stadium, which has a bigger boundary, and spinners do come into play there.

3) Nahid Rana

An express pacer from Bangladesh, Nahid Rana, is an exceptional bowler and has the raw skills for which the Tigers have been craving. He only has 18 wickets in 22 T20 matches, but his raw pace has bagged limelight and IPL teams love such players.

Just like Mustafiz, KKR can be the one to go after Nahid Rana. Mustafizur should be their first choice signing, but if they don't get him, then Nahid Rana could be a solid choice as him and Harshit Rana could form a deadly pace duo to trouble the opposition batters.
