The final game of the SA20 2025 group stage will take place at the Newlands, Cape Town, between MI Cape Town (MICT) and Pretoria Capitals (PC). This match will be played on 2nd February 2025 from 7 PM IST.

At the top of the table are MI Cape Town, with 30 points from nine matches after winning six games, as they have been outstanding so far. Rashid Khan-led Cape Town side have comfortably qualified for the playoffs and will face the Paarl Royals in Qualifier 1. They are coming off a win against Pretoria Capitals, whom they are slated to play again.

In the previous encounter between these two sides, MI banged 222 with utmost ease as Reeza Hendricks and Dewald Brevis smashed scores of 77* (44) and 73* (32), respectively. In reply, despite trying their level best, Pretoria could only get as far as 195/8 after 20 overs. Skipper Rashid Khan picked figures of 2/25, while Corbin Bosch registered two to his name as well.

One place above the bottom position on the table are Pretoria Capitals, who were eliminated after the MI loss and will be back against them to finish this season on a high. They have 14 points so far, with two of them being bonuses, while they have won two from nine played as another two were abandoned due to rain.

Will Jacks (39), Will Smeed (52) and Keagan Lion Cachet (34*) put in some effort, backed by an 8-ball 22-run cameo from Ashton Turner, who unfortunately got run out and couldn't take the Capitals home against MI. They would look to test their bench strength in the upcoming game.

In the five games that have happened between these sides so far, MI Cape Town have only been able to dominate twice, while the Pretoria Capitals retain the upper hand with three wins.
