The Punjab Kings franchise nearly revamped its squad at the IPL 2025 mega auction, considering they made just two retentions in the form of Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh back in October. Holding the largest available purse among all franchises, the PBKS management utilized its funds to the fullest in Saudi Arabia by making some smart purchases at the bidding event.

Under the supervision of new head coach Ricky Ponting and several franchise owners, Punjab Kings acquired as many as nine specialist all-rounders at the auction. Here we take a detailed look at each of those all-rounders as the franchise preps itself for a fresh IPL chapter in 2025.

After a successful gig with Lucknow Super Giants, the 35-year-old was roped in by the PBKS management at the mega auction for a staggering sum of Rs.11 crore. A veteran of 293 T20 matches, including 96 IPL caps, Stoinis boasts a legion of experience with both bat and ball at his disposal.

Glenn Maxwell – IPL 2025 Price: ₹4.2 Cr

Australia’s multi-World Cup winner Glenn Maxwell has already played five different seasons spanning two different stints for Punjab Kings. All set for his third gig, Maxwell will enter Punjab Kings dressing room in IPL 2025 off the back of a four-season run with RCB. Apart from his hard-hitting dexterity in the middle overs, Maxwell’s cunning off-breaks tends to deliver timely breakthroughs for his team.

Harpreet Brar – IPL 2025 Price: ₹1.50 Cr

Punjab Kings loyalist Harpreet Brar has played each of his 41 matches for the franchise since his 2019 debut. If Brar’s IPL experience was not enough, his domestic association with Punjab cricket has made him well-accustomed with the home conditions of Mohali.
