On Sunday, March 30, Delhi Capitals locked horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad where the Axar Patel-led side registered a seven-wicket win to stun the last year's finalist. It was a one-side display as the Men in Orange, batting first, tumbled for just 165 runs, courtesy of Mitchell Starc's five-wicket haul.

Meanwhile, Faf Du Plessis and Jake Fraser-Mcgurk stitched a fifty-plus runs stand for the first wicket that set the platform and eventually, Abhishek Porel slammed the winning runs. With the win, DC have now moved to top of the table with two wins. Talking about this article, it will look at three genius moves by Axar Patel that helped DC conquer SRH.

1. Giving Long Spell To Mitchell Starc To Get Travis Head Out

It was a perfect start for Delhi Capitals as they took four wickets in the powerplay to leave SRH crippled. Further, it was a Mitchell Starc show as he took two wickets in his 2nd over. Meanwhile, Axar played a genius move and didn't remove the Aussie seamer from the attack.

He brought Starc back for his 3rd over and it helped him remove Travis Head, who has become his bunny in the IPL. Eventually, Starc took a five-wicket haul.

2. Bowling Out Kuldeep Yadav's Quota In Single Spell

Axar introduced Kuldeep in the 10th over of the match and despite going for runs in his first over, Axar backed Yadav and brought him back for another over. This time the left-arm spinner striked and took a wicket.

Further, Patel didn't remove Kuldeep from the spell and completed his quota of four overs in a single spell. Eventually, Kuldeep took three wickets and put DC in a commanding position.

3.Placing KL Rahul In The Middle-Order

DC, in a surprise move, demoted KL Rahul to middle-order and went ahead with Faf du Plessis and Jake Fraser-McGurk to open the innings. Further, it proved to do wonders as the two overseas stars stitched a fifty-plus runs at the top and set the perfect platform.

Eventually, KL came to bat in the middle-order and played a great cameo knock that helped DC complete the chase early.
