No Virat Kohli As India's Squad Announced For Remaining 3 Tests Vs ENG

As speculated by everyone, Virat Kohli will miss the remaining three Tests against England due to personal reasons.

No Kohli in remaining 3 Tests

Earlier it was announced that he will only miss the first two Test matches, but now it has been confirmed by the BCCI that the former skipper won't take any part in the series. There were rumours that Kohli's mother was not keeping well, and as a result Virat might have missed the opening two matches. However, those rumours were quashed by his Kohli's brother.

The core remains the same, with Akash Deep getting a chance in the squad as well. The BCCI has stated that the participation of KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja is subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI medical team.

Both Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul suffered injuries in the first Test match at Hyderabad and were eventually ruled out of the second game in Vizag. The two experienced campaigners were at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) completing their rehabilitation before the third Test match.

Mohammed Siraj, who was left out of the second Test due to workload management also gets a nod in the Test squad, and his RCB teammate, Akash Deep also makes it into the squad.

The only notable omission is Shreyas Iyer, who has been ruled out of the final three matches due to a back spasm injury.

If KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja make it on time, Rajat Patidar and Kuldeep Yadav will likely make way for them.

The third Test will commence on February 15 in Rajkot.
