Jasprit Bumrah, as a Test bowler has proven his worth once again in the second innings of the first Test at Hyderabad. With the England team finally showing off their Bazball style of play, courtesy Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope, India needed a couple of quick wickets to bounce back in the contest.

Bumrah gets the big wicket of Root

Bumrah raised his hands and proved his mettle with the wicket of Duckett, and followed it up by trapping the big fish, Joe Root for a paltry 2.

The Indian speedster persisted with consistent lines and lengths, which forced Duckett to go for the big shot and his stumps were knocked off. However, the dismissal of Root was a perfect setup, as Bumrah took advantage of Root's inability to judge the in-swinger.

He bowled a good length delivery which nipped back in sharply and trapped Root on the front leg. The on-field umpire had no hesitation as he raised his finger. Root took the DRS, believing that it was going down the leg side. However, it was the umpire's call on DRS, and the former England skipper had to walk back to the pavilion.

Undone by a beauty, this was the seventh time in Test matches that Bumrah had dismissed Root. Two quick wickets has now derailed England's early momentum. The visitors still trail by 58 runs, and Jonny Bairstow has come onto the crease to give support to Ollie Pope.
