New Zealand are currently playing against Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI Series. They have played brilliant cricket and have dominated the visitors in the series, winning it with one game left.

One of the biggest assignments coming up for the team is the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. The team will look to put on a strong display in the tournament and be one of the top contenders for the title. Here is a look at their probable squad for the tournament.

Devon Conway Back At The Opening Spot

Devon Conway is currently not playing on the ODI team of New Zealand for personal reasons. However, he is expected to be back by Champions Trophy and will resume his duties as the opener with Will Young.

Kane Williamson To Strengthen The Top Order

Kane Williamson has shown that he has regained his form in the limited-overs with his brilliant knock in the SA20 2025. Having adjusted to the demands of limited overs cricket, Williamson is expected to be back in the side, imparting flexibility and solidity to the top order. There will be Rachin Ravindra to add further dynamism to the batting line-up.

Mitchell, Latham and Phillips In The Middle

With Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham and Glenn Phillips in the middle-over, it is expected that New Zealand batting will have a solid outlook in the tournament. All these three batters have the ability to change the complexion of the game at any moment. Besides, the fact that Phillips could be a beneficial spinner in the middle overs in subcontinent conditions adds further flexibility to the side.

One Lead Spinner With Three Pacers

Mitchell Santner will be leading the team and will be the lead spinner. Along with Santner, there will be three pacers: Matt Henry, Jacob Duffy and William O'Rourke; however, as per the demands of the playing conditions, they can change their playing XI, inducing Michael Bracewell or Ish Sodhi into playing combination.
