Ruturaj Gaikwad for CSK [Source: @HustlerCSK/x.com]
The Chennai Super Kings have been one of the most consistent teams in the history of the Indian Premier League. With 10 IPL finals under their belt and five titles in them, they have been among the top two most successful teams in the league.
One of the biggest positives for the Super Kings have been the quality of players they have produced over the years. They have been graced by the presence of players like Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Ravichandran Ashwin, MS Dhoni, and many others who have also been an asset to the Indian team.
The current crop of CSK players is also highly talented and has a lot of players who can make it big in the international arena. However, some of these players are failing to find a foothold in the Indian team due to the talent already present there. In this article, we will look at three CSK players who might not get picked in India's ICC Champions Trophy 2025 squad.
3. Anshul Kamboj

The young right-arm medium pacer has impressed with his shows in the domestic arena. Anshul Kamboj has shown that he can bowl long spells and effectively pick up regular wickets. However, the Indian bowling department looks sorted and packed for the Champions Trophy 2025, so India is unlikely to take Kamboj to the Champions Trophy 2025.
2. Shivam Dube

In the last two or three seasons, Shivam Dube has emerged as one of the biggest match-winners for the Chennai Super Kings. His ability to take on the spinners from the very beginning of his innings has been very useful for the team. India could have used Dube's abilities during the Champions Trophy 2025 to dominate the spinners of the other teams on the slowish tracks in UAE. However, given the rumours doing the rounds and the players in the scheme of things there is little chance that Dube will get selected for Champions Trophy 2025.
1. Ruturaj Gaikwad
The CSK skipper has been one of the most dependable batters for the team in the top order. Besides being a consistent run scorer in the Grand League, Ruturaj Gaikwad has also done a great job in the domestic arena. Given his excellent displays with consistency, Ruturaj Gaikwad could have been a valuable inclusion in the side. However, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill in the line, it seems hard for Gaikwad to be a part of India's Champions Trophy squad.
