Ten franchises - Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow SuperGiants, Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals- will look to capitalise on the opportunity and form their most potent combination before heading to the 2025 edition of the tournament. 

Regarding Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions haven't won the coveted title since 2021. So, as they aim to revamp their core, let's analyse and find out who their targeted players could be in the mega auction.

Quinton de Kock can fulfil their quest for a top-order keeper-batter, and the five-time champions can buy him at a lesser price than the expected budget of Ishan Kishan.

David Miller is one of the most experienced middle-order batters in IPL history. He has been a force to reckon with the bat in the league and can add quality as well as depth to MI's lower middle order. 

As Mumbai Indians don't have a vacancy in the top order, they will target some power-hitters to bolster their finishing department. So, apart from Miller, Glenn Phillips, Abdul Samad, Marcus Stoinis will be on MI's radar. 

Meanwhile, they might also try to bring Nehal Wadhera back into their setup, while also having a go at Punjab Kings' explosive finisher Ashutosh Sharma. Having said that, Miller or Stoinis would be the most perfect fit in their setup, as they are more reliable as finishers than the rest of these players.

Sam Curran should be MI's prime target from the all-rounder's category. The five-time champions didn't have the batting depth and struggled with their finishing in the last season. So, they will aim to bolster their lower middle order by buying Curran, who can swing the ball up front and use his death bowling skills apart from ensuring the final flourish with the bat.
