Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) went all in to retain their core for a total of INR 75 crores that achieved success in the IPL 2024 season. Hence, ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, SRH are left with INR 45 crores purse to spend on a minimum of 13 players.

For SRH, their top order is settled with Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Heinrich Klaasen. Nitish Reddy is the ideal all-rounder who anchors innings and chips in a few overs in the middle. Moreover, skipper Pat Cummins will spearhead the bowling attack.

Hence, heading into the IPL 2025 mega auction, SRH's focus will be on securing key Indian talent, especially in the bowling department, as the overseas slots are more or less secured.

With days left with IPL 2025 mega auction, here are 3 such uncapped players SRH will look to target in Jeddah.

3. Ashutosh Sharma

Why Will SRH Target Ashutosh Sharma?

Ashutosh Sharma's debut with PBKS in IPL 2024 was a fairytale start to what appears to be a promising career. In 11 games, he slammed 189 runs with 15 sixes and a 167.26 strike rate. He is a dream finisher option for many teams, including SRH. Just how they groomed Abhishek Sharma into a match winner, Ashutosh Sharma also carries a similar potential and can be a long-term secure option for a much cheaper price.

2. Angkrish Raghuvanshi

Why Will SRH Target Angkrish Raghuvanshi?

Angkrish Raghuvanshi is another great batting option for SRH. In his debut year with KKR, Raghuvanshi scored 163 runs off 10 games with 8 sixes and a 155.24 strike rate. He initially gained prominence as India's highest run-scorer in the 2022 U19 World Cup, amassing 278 runs across six innings. Raghuvanshi is capable of hitting sixes and also anchoring innings when needed. Hence, for a cheaper price, Raghuvanshi has the potential to transform into a mainstay in the coming years.

1. Abdul Samad

Why Will SRH Target Abdul Samad?

SRH can use RTM for Abdul Samad. He recently grabbed headlines with twin hundreds in the Ranji Trophy. Samad has 577 runs in 50 IPL games with 36 sixes. He also maintained an impressive strike rate of 146.08 during this period. His versatility, coupled with his experience as a finisher and occasional leg-spin, makes him a strong candidate for a comeback to SRH, especially since they are low on budget. While Samad wasn't the hero SRH hoped he would be in the last 5 seasons, he certainly has the potential to break out sooner or later.
