India and Australia are up against each other in the five-match Test series, known as the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The excitement around that series is quite high, but there is an IPL auction around the corner as well, and as always it is grabbing headlines alongside BGT.

Mitchell Starc is a gun-T20 bowler. He has all the skills that a bowler in the shortest format requires as he can make impact with the new ball and at the death. He is known for his pin-point yorkers that can help RCB improve its death bowling on flat decks at Chinnaswamy. 

The left-arm pacer also played for RCB in the 2014 and 2015 seasons, and the management would be hoping to get him back this time around. He was bagged by KKR in the last season at a record price of 24.75 and the Aussie displayed his big-match credentials by making huge impact in knockout matches. Mitchell Marsh is one of the leading all-rounders in world cricket and he is currently the T20I captain of Australia. He can take the number 3 spot in the RCB line-up or even open the innings alongside Virat Kohli. Also, he can be a leadership option for the franchise and has the ability to grab crucial wickets with the ball, so he is a complete package that any team would want in their team.

Marsh also has lot of experience of international as well as IPL, and could be the x-factor if he gets going. The flat batting conditions will also help his style of play, and he is one player RCB would be desperate to buy in the upcoming mega auction.

RCB also need a quality finisher in the absence of Dinesh Karthik and Cameron Green, and Tim David can fit into that role perfectly. He did decently for MI in the last few years, and the flat batting conditions could help David who can take the game away from the opposition in a flash with his power-hitting.

His career strike-rate in IPL is over 170 and RCB exactly need such players to boost the firepower in lower-order of their batting line-up. He can also bowl handy off-breaks if needed, and RCB might target the Singapore-born Aussie cricketer.
