Lucknow Super Giants are on a roll and are eager to keep their winning momentum going as they gear up to take on the Punjab Kings in the 21st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Saturday, April 15 at the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

However, before we move forward, let's take a closer look at the key matchups for this contest - which bowlers have had the upper hand, and which battles have kept the bowlers at bay:

KL Rahul vs Kagiso Rabada

The captain of Lucknow Super Giants, has been having a tough time finding his rhythm in the tournament. To add to his woes, he'll be up against Kagiso Rabada, a bowler who has proven to be a serious threat for Rahul in the past.

With only 25 runs from 22 balls and two dismissals against Rabada, it's clear that this battle will be worth watching. Also, with Rabada set to bowl with the new ball, Rahul's lack of confidence will undoubtedly be tested.

Shikhar Dhawan vs Ravi Bishnoi

The captain of Punjab Kings has been in fine form against both pace and spin lately. Given his past records, he has a strike rate of 163 against Ravi Bishnoi with one dismissal.

When they take the field against each other once again, Dhawan will undoubtedly look to dominate the young leg-spinner once more. However, it remains to be seen who will come out on top - Dhawan or Bishnoi?

Shikhar Dhawan vs Amit Mishra

Former teammates turned rivals, Shikhar Dhawan and Amit Mishra will face off once again at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. With Mishra having dismissed Dhawan three times in the past, and Shikhar struggling to score off the spinner, having managed just 39 runs from 32 balls, this promises to be a gripping contest on a pitch that favours spin bowling.

Nicholas Pooran vs Kagiso Rabada

After his breathtaking performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, the West Indies batter Nicolas Pooran will have his work cut out for him in the upcoming match against Kagiso Rabada

Pooran's past encounters with the South African pacer clearly suggest that he has struggled against the Punjab speedster, managing just 19 runs off 16 balls with one dismissal. It will be intriguing to see how Pooran fares against Rabada this time around.
