It's time for another thrilling encounter in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 as Delhi Capitals bump heads with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 20th match of the tournament at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, April 15th.

Before we dive headfirst into the excitement of the another contest, we take a closer look at the key player matchups as in who will dominate and who will come out on top? Let's find out:

Faf du Plessis vs Axar Patel

Although the captain of Royal Challengers, Bangalore Faf du Plessis has been in excellent form in the tournament thus far. But he faces a stern challenge in Delhi Capitals' Axar Patel, who is currently in great form. Du Plessis has struggled against Patel in the past, scoring only 54 runs from 42 balls and being dismissed by him three times in T20s.

Faf du Plessis vs Anrich Nortje:

Faf du Plessis might be a master at bashing pace bowlers, but when it comes to facing his fellow South African Anrich Nortje in the shortest format, he seems to be out of his depth. Nortje has managed to keep Du Plessis silent with just 36 runs scored off 26 balls, and he has even dismissed him twice. This is going to be one of the most interesting battles between two countrymen.

Virat Kohli vs Axar Patel

It was evident in the last match that Virat Kohli struggled against spin, with Ravi Bishnoi and Krunal Pandya managing to keep him in check. He has also been looking vulnerable against spin recently, making it a daunting task to face Axar Patel in this match.

Although Kohli has faced 58 balls from Patel in T20s, scoring 66 runs and being dismissed just once, the former RCB captain must be at his best to tackle the left-arm spinner in the upcoming game, which will be played yet again at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

David Warner vs Mohammed Siraj

David Warner's performances in the tournament have been a mixed bag. While he has been the leading run-scorer for his team, his scoring rate has been a source of concern. Things are expected to get even more challenging for him in the upcoming match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, where he will have to face off against Mohammed Siraj.

Siraj has dismissed Warner six times in T20 matches, and in their previous encounters, Warner has only managed to score 42 runs off 23 balls against him. However, it will be intriguing to see if Warner can turn the tables on Siraj in the upcoming match.
