On Friday, November 16, Australia clinched the three-match series 2-0 with a game left to play after they handed Pakistan a 13-run defeat in the second T20I at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Australia, batting first, got off to a flying start and stitched a fifty-run stand for the first wicket. However, the wickets kept falling at regular intervals, and the hosts were restricted to 147 runs after 20 overs.
In reply, the Men in Yellow bowled well, and Spencer Johnson stole the show with his five-wicket haul. Eventually, Pakistan were restricted to just 134/10, and Australia registered a 10-wicket win.
It was Josh Inglis' first series win as a captain, and since Australia have already clinched the series, they would opt for a few changes to give game time to those who warmed benches in the first two T20Is.
Josh Phillips Likely To replace Fraser-McGurk
Jake Fraser-McGurk is going through a lean patch and has failed to impress the selectors. Thus, he is likely to be benched for the third T20I and be replaced by Josh Phillipe.
Further, Sean Abbott, who played in the ODIs and is yet to feature in a T20I game against Pakistan, is likely to get a place in the playing XI on Monday, when Australia take on Pakistan in Hobart.
Rest, others would be the same as Australia anyway have announced a small squad, which is why more than two changes are not expected for the dead-rubber game on November 18.
