The attention switches to north-east of India from after two thrilling T20Is in the southern part. India and Australia will lock horns against one another in the Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati for the third T20I. The tally lies 2-0 in favour of India and they will look to clinch the series.

India won the first Twenty20 International in a nail-biter in Visakhapatnam. It was followed by another triumph by a score of 44 runs in Trivandrum. Over 400 runs have been scored in both innings at both locations. Dew has assisted batting while making bowlers' strategies difficult to execute.

Australian batsmen were outstanding in exploiting the favourable batting conditions. But it was the bowling that failed to stamp authority when it was most needed. Josh Inglis hit a century and Steve Smith hit a fifty in the first T20I. The middle order rose up in the second game, but it was too late to complete the challenge of chasing a massive 236-run target.

Let us have a quick look at Australia's predicted XI against India for the third T20I.

Openers: Travis Head and Steve Smith

Australia may make a change at the top of the batting order. Matt Short could make way for World Cup knockout hero, Travis Head. Head was rested in the initial two encounters of the series post-World Cup. Now that Australia are lagging behind in the series they may make the move of bringing him back with Steve Smith at the top of the order.

Smudge scored a fifty in the first game and will look to get some more runs under the belt. The batter will look to transpire his Big Bash League form to the international level.

Middle Order: Josh Inglis, Tim David and Matthew Wade

Australia have been featuring with two wicketkeepers- Inglis and Wade. The former bludgeoned a ton in the first game to help Australia score 208 runs in 20 overs. He'll look to replicate such a knock once again. Meanwhile, the interim skipper was the lone warrior in the last game. Despite incurring body blows, he managed to fight alone in the mammoth chase of 236 runs.

Tim David is trying his best to cement a place as a finisher of the side. The Singapore-baser cricketer did show glimpses of his prowess in the last game but failed to convert his start into a big one. He should be backed in the XI.

All-rounders: Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, and Sean Abbott

Glenn Maxwell returned to the XI in the last game but failed to make an impact as an All-rounder. He spilt 38 runs in two overs and could not get a big number with the bat. However, the Big Show is an important member of the team and adds leadership value.

Marcus Stoinis and Sean Abbott could be the two seam-bowling all-rounders for Australia in the upcoming clash at Guwahati. The former was better in terms of execution with the ball when compared to the rest of the bowlers. He also notched up 45 off 25 balls including two fours and four sixes.

Sean Abbott did not have a good day with either bat or ball. But he's a utility player and on his day he can be a match-winner. Hence he should be backed.

Bowlers: Jason Behrendorrf, Nathan Ellis and Tanveer Sangha.

Jason Behrendorff may come back in the Australia XI in place of Adam Zampa. The left-arm pacer was incredible with the ball in the first encounter but was unlucky to have missed the second assignment. If Head comes back in the XI, the visitors may move with one wrist spinner and it could be Adam Zampa missing out on an opportunity. These are testing times for young Tanveer Sangha who has prevailed well in the first two games of the bilateral series. Adding more depth to the bowling , Nathan Ellis is likely to be the other pacer. He has an array of variations and is one of the rising white ball bowlers of the Island nation
