New Zealand aims for a clean sweep against Pakistan as the two teams clash in the fifth and final T20I match on Sunday, January 21st, at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.

The Men in Green are having a rough time in this series, not winning a single match out of the four played. New Zealand has been dominating in all aspects.

The Black Caps launched the series with a bang, winning by 46 runs against Pakistan. They carried that energy forward, notching up a 21-run victory in the second T20I, and then maintained their winning streak with triumphs of 45 runs and seven wickets in the subsequent clashes.

There was no point in this series where Pakistan looked ahead of New Zealand, be it in batting or bowling. This series is more than just a competition; it's a stark wake-up call for Pakistan.

As we gear up for the series climax, the Black Caps are chasing a clean sweep, but Pakistan is eager to salvage pride and notch a win in the last game.

Hagley Oval, Christchurch Ground Stats

The batting-friendly pitch in Christchurch has a good amount of bounce, making it intriguing for bowlers, particularly pacers. The fourth T20I match between Pakistan and New Zealand at this venue highlighted the pacers' dominance, while spinners had a limited impact.

Historically, chasing teams have found great success at this venue compared to those batting first. The trend continued in the last match, where New Zealand chased down a target after limiting Pakistan to a modest total in the first innings.

While the toss might be a factor, New Zealand's home advantage puts them in a strong position, unaffected by whether they win or lose. Anyway, the team winning the toss should consider bowling first, given the excellent track record of the chasing sides.
