The intense action of the IPL 2025 mega auction has atlast come to an end. The two days of intense action saw the 10 franchises compete hard to get the best players for their team. At the end of the event, all the teams might have been satisified by the players that they have recruited.

Royal Challengere Bengluru gave their best to overcome their short comings from the previous editions. At the end of the two days, here is a look at the most expensive buys for RCB in the event.

3. Jitesh Shamra - INR 11 Cr

The young Indian wicketkeeper, Jitesh Sharma was the third most expensive buy for RCB. He was bought for INR 11 Cr in the auction. Sharma has played for PBKS in the league and has scored 730 runs for them in 40 matches. The keeper-batter has maintained a strike rate of 151.14, while having an average of 22.81. As the RCB wanted a wicket-keeper batter and also wanted to fill up their gaps in the lower middle-order they went hard for him and paid INR 11 Cr for the player.

2. Phil Salt - INR 11.50 Cr

Having released Faf du Plessis and not going for KL Rahul, the RCB were searching for an overseas opener. They found their requirement in Phil Salt for whom they paid INR 11.50 Cr. The English opening batter has previously played for the KKR. In the 21 matches that he has played for the defending champions, Salt has scored 653 runs at an average of 34.37 while maintaining a strike rate of 175.54. In order to have a power hitter uptop who would complement Virat Kohli, RCB went as far as INR 11.50 Cr for Salt.

1. Josh Hazlewood - INR 12.50 Cr

The Australian bowler is known for his consistent line and length and also for his skill set with the new ball. Josh Hazlewood has also previously played for the Royal Challengers in IPL 2022 and IPL 2023.
