CSK And...? 3 IPL Teams RCB Fear To Face Due To Terrible Head-To-Head Record

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) came into the auction with the second largest purse, and walked out with an interesting squad filled with plethora of talents. Unlike previous seasons, they went after team players rather than going for big names and have assembled a strong core.

RCB, despite having a star-studded lineup across seasons are yet to win a single IPL title. The team has had the likes of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle in their ranks, but they still have nothing to show for it.

Over the years, there have been three teams which has given them most of the troubles, and it is because of the performance of these teams that RCB are yet to win a single title. In this piece, we'll look at 3 IPL sides against whom RCB will have a hard time in the upcoming season.

3) Kolkata Knight Riders

One of those teams against which RCB has a negative win/loss record. In 34 matches played against each other KKR has triumphed on 20 occasions while RCB has won 14 matches. In the 2024 season, KKR had the upper hand, winning both the league stage games against the Royal Challengers.

When the two teams will meet this season, RCB will be wary of the negative record and will be under pressure against a formidable KKR side.

2) Mumbai Indians

Over the years, the two have had fiery battles against each other, with Mumbai coming out on top in majority of the games. Against MI, RCB have played 36 games and MI have the upper hand, winning 22 and RCB winning just 14 matches.

In the 2024 season, RCB faced them twice and on both the occassions, the five-time IPL champions came out on top, which showcases their domination.

1) Chennai Super Kings

The rivalry between ice cool MS Dhoni and fiery Virat Kohli!. The two teams produced the match of the season in IPL 2024, when the RCB side qualified for the playoffs in an emotional contest.

However, over the years, CSK have dominated the proceedings against RCB. In 33 matches, CSK has won 21 matches and RCB have come out on top in 11 games, while one match was abandoned.

Last season, CSK won the first encounter between the two sides and RCB took their revenge by winning the second game in an emotionally charged affair.
