The 2023 Asia Cup will continue with match number three in Pallekele, where tournament co-hosts Pakistan will be seen taking on their arch-rivals India. The much-awaited fixture marks a conclusion to Pakistan’s Group A run in this competition, considering they faced Nepal in their opening game on August 30.
On the other hand, the match will launch India’s Asia Cup 2023 campaign in Pallekele, a venue where they will also play their final Group A game against Nepal two days later.
The iconic Kandy stadium has hosted 34 ODI matches since March 2011. Sri Lanka’s emphatic five-wicket win here earlier in the competition was the latest match to be hosted by the venue.
