The IPL 2024 saw the Kolkata Knight Riders crowned the champions for the third time in the history of the tournament. While some of the experienced campaigners of the team like, Mitchell Starc, Sunil Narine, and Phil Salt performed for the team, there were also players like Harshit Rana who delivered under pressure. This leads us to the fact that for a team to win the trophy, besides the top and high-priced players, the newer Indian talents also need to step up.

Ahead of the IPL 2025, all the teams will have to release a majority of their players as a mega-auction is scheduled ahead of the season. This will bring in new dynamics as a lot of the players who were budget picks in the previous season will fetch big bucks. Here are three players who are expected to get a salary hike in IPL 2025.

3. Shashank Singh

There was a confusion regarding the recruitment of Shashank Singh by PBKS ahead of IPL 2024. However, with all sorted the player featured for the team being a INR 20 Lakhs buy. The lower middle order batter scored 354 runs in 14 games at an average of 44.25 and a strike rate of 164.65. The best part of his journey during the tournament was the way he delivered under pressure.

Shashank Singh proved himself as a seasoned opener in IPL 2024, and quite a few teams might look to buy him. If he comes into the auction, he will surely fetch big bucks, and even if PBKS decide to retain him, they will have to pay much for than INR 20 Lakhs to do so.

2. Harshit Rana

The young Indian bowler has been a part of the KKR team since 2022. Harshit Rana was retained ahead of the IPL 2023 min-auction for INR 20.00 Lakhs. The IPL 2024 turned out to be his breakthrough season. In the season, Rana picked up 19 wickets in 14 games and emerged as the main strike bowler for the eventual champions.

After that stellar season, Rana has also got a national call up. With all the positive things in his favour and him being and Indian pacer, Rana will surely fetch a huge price if he comes under the hammer during the IPL 2025 mega-auction. Even his retention will expectedly cost KKR much more than INR 20 Lakhs.

1.Rinku Singh

The KKR franchise might take pride in developing this promising domestic player into an international level talent. Rinku Singh has been a part of the franchise since 2018. Even though he was not getting opportunities or not making the best of the chances that he was getting, the KKR management decided to back him.

It was IPL 2022, from where Rinku started to translating his performance into actual number. The next season, IPL 2023 turned out to be his breakthrough season, where he scored 474 runs in 14 matches at an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.53. His exploits opened the doors of Indian national team for him.

After that stellar season, IPL 2024 was an average season for him. However, all the teams have seen his abilities and will be looking to notch him up, if Rinku goes under the gammer. To stop Rinku from going into the mega-auction, KKR might have to pay much more than INR 55 Lakhs.
