The Rajasthan Royals have had a good time in the last few seasons of the Indian Premier League. Under the leadership of Sanju Samson, they did form a pretty young, flexible and dynamic squad, that performed consistently in the last two or three season. 

The mega auction for the IPL 2025 is approaching. Just like all the teams, Rajasthan Royals will also have to reform a new squad. They will have have to go back to the drawing board and compose their team with new players while keeping their core strong. 


Here are three players that the Rajasthan Royals might look to retain ahead of the IPL mega auction.

1.Sanju Samson

The keeper and top-order batter, Sanju Samson has evolved as an integral part of the Royals team. He has not only been consistent with the bat, but also has led the team for the past three seasons. Under his leadership the Royals have made it to the play-offs in two of the last four seasons. The team also finished as the runners-up in the 2022 season. 

Sanju Samson has built the team around him and is very well acquainted about how the team operates and the dressing room culture. Moving ahead, the Royals management will hope to keep the leadership group stable and hence will surely retain Sanju Samson ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction. 

2. Riyan Parag

The young Indian all-rounder from Assam is realising his potential since the IPL 2024 season. Riyan Parag had a stellar season IPL 2024 with the bat. His performances opened the door of the national team for him. Besides his impressive and impactful show with the bat in the middle-order, Parag has also proved himself to be an effective bowler. 

However, there is a lot of contribution of the RR management behind Parag's success. They backed him, nurtured and made him into the player that he is now. With the time and resources that they have spent behind Parag, it looks likely highly unlikely that they will release Parag when he is starting to deliver. 


3. Yashasvi Jaiswal

This young Indian opener had a great under-19 World Cup in 2020. His brilliant show impressed the RR management and they picked up him during the IPL auction of that year. Yashasvi Jaiswal has also been given a lot of chances and has been backed consistently by the RR management. The results of the time and resources that were invested started to pay dividends since the last season. Yashasvi's brilliant show in the grand league got him a chance in the Indian team and so far he has impressed even in the highest stage.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has shown that he is an intricate part of the Royals line-up and there is no doubt regarding the fact that he will be one of the retentions of RR.
