RCB is one of the most high-profile teams in the Indian Premier League and whatever they do, becomes a talking point. They are yet to won a trophy though and have often been guilty of not picking a balanced squad and tend to rely more on their star players. In the IPL 2025 mega auction though, RCB came up with an interesting strategy and did not go all in for any player, like they normally do and have formed a formidable unit.

3. Jacob Bethell
Jacob Bethell is one of the rising stars in world cricket and was bought by 2.6 Crore at IPL 2025 auction. He has just started his international career, but has already showed glimpses of his talent and has been preferred over some more experienced names in England's Champions Trophy squad.
In the 9 ODIs, he has scored 218 runs at an average of 31.14 with two fifties in it. He got starts in his initial six games, but could not carry on and finally got to his maiden fifty in his seventh innings. He is a compact cricketer and has the ability to hit effortless sixes and the young man displayed his talent to perform under pressure with a fifty against India in Nagpur. England were in trouble in that game and the way, Bethell worked his way along with lower-order batters makes him a talent to watch out.

Phil Salt is a destructive batter and after heroics for KKR in IPL 2024, the English opener was bought for 11.50 Crore by RCB. He will be a key player for England in Champions Trophy 2025 and a lot will depend on his explosive starts on flat wickets in Pakistan. The batter has a career strike-rate of 115.64 in ODIs which shows the kind of impact he makes, and has an average of 34.96 with five fifties and one hundred.
