On Friday, November 15, Haryana's Anshul Kamboj scripted history as he became the third bowler in the Ranji Trophy to pick up ten wickets in a single innings. Notably, Kamboj, featuring against Kerala, registered a perfect 10.

Overall, he became the 6th Indian bowler to take a ten-wicket haul in First Class. The performance has come at the right time for Kamboj as the IPL 2025 mega-auction will take place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah.

Notably, Anshul Kamboj made his IPL debut in 2024 as he played for Mumbai Indians, who picked him at his base price of 20 lakhs at the auction. Further, Kamboj got to play three matches and took two wickets. Meanwhile, this article will analyse three teams that would look to target Kamboj in the IPL auction.

1. Mumbai Indians

Notably, MI would be the one team that would target Kamboj, as few reports suggested that Anshul is on Mumbai's radar. Further, MI have one RTM left with them, and they can only use it for an uncapped player. Thus, it increases MI's possibility of going after Kamboj in the auction.

2. Royal Challengers Bengaluru

RCB have undergone a major overhaul for IPL 2025, as they have retained just three players for the upcoming season. Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal were the only three players retained by RCB ahead of the IPL 2025 mega-auction.

Yash Dayal's retention came as a shock for several fans, but it has also dropped a massive hint that RCB would target quality Indian bowlers in the auction, something they have lacked over the years. Thus, the three-time finalists would look to have Kamboj in their team.

3. Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings have the highest purse value going in the IPL 2025 auction, and they would also go after Kamboj as they lack a genuine seamer and also dropped Arshdeep Singh from their side.
