In a significant development, Cricket Pakistan has announced a Champions Trophy tour that kickstarts in Islamabad on November 16. The hosts for Champions Trophy 2025 took to Twitter to announce the venues for the upcoming trophy tour.

Meanwhile, the PCB has also announced that they will conduct the trophy tour in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK).

"Get ready, Pakistan! The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 trophy tour kicks off in Islamabad on 16 November, also visiting scenic travel destinations like Skardu, Murree, Hunza and Muzaffarabad. Catch a glimpse of the trophy, which Sarfaraz Ahmed lifted in 2017 at The Oval, from 16-24 November," tweeted PCB.

Notably, Skardu, Hunza and Muzaffarabad are all part of the much-disputed PoK.

It is understood to be a part of the politics and to take a dig at the BCCI after the latter refused to send India to Pakistan, citing security reasons. On November 10, there were reports that the BCCI formally conveyed to Pakistan that India will not be visiting the neighbouring country and as a result, the PCB asked the ICC for an explanation regarding India's withdrawal.

Pakistan's Foreign Ministry Gets Involved In Champions Trophy Saga

At present, the buzz is that India want the tournament to be played in a hybrid model or be moved out of Pakistan. Further, the ICC has enquired with the PCB about the possibility of a hybrid model.

While the PCB is denying the scope of the hybrid Champions Trophy, Pakistan's foreign ministry too has broken its silence on the matter and remarked that there is no back-channel diplomacy with India regarding Champions Trophy 2025 participation.

Notably, less than three months are left for the Champions Trophy 2025, and the schedules are yet to be out because of BCCI's delay in confirming India's stance on the upcoming fifty-over event.
