India are currently playing against the England in a five match T20I series. The home team started brilliantly with a couple of wins and were marching towards a comfortable series win ahead of the third game. However, England made a brilliant come back and have closed down the margin to 2-1.

There have been a few good performances from Indian players in the series. Notably, India have already announced their provisional squad for the ICC Champions Trophy. However, they can make changes to it till the 13th of February. So, looking at the performance of the players in the T20I series, here are three changes that India can make.

1. Varun Chakravarthy In Place Of Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav is the frontline spinner in India's squad for Champions Trophy 2025. However, he is coming back from an injury and has very less game time behind him to be put into the test of a big tournament.

On the other hand, Varun Chakravarthy has been playing regulary and he has been in good form. He has the wicket taking rhythm behind him and could be a better choice in the tournament for the team in place of Kuldeep.

2. Abhishek Sharma In Place Of Washington Sundar

Washington Sundar is going with the Indian team who can bowl and bat a bit in the lower middle-order. But if you look at the squad, you get the idea that he will be a rare presence in the playing XI. So, if you are taking spin bowling all-rounder as a back up, Abhishek Sharma looks like a better option. Sharma has been in a good batting form and can also bowl some effective overs in the middle phase. Besides, Sharma provides a bit of flexibility to probably make the next change.

3. Tilak Varma In Place Of Yashasvi Jaiswal

Well, this might look very audacious to you, but read it out first. Rohit Sharma is the captain and Shubman Gill is the vice-captain of the team. So, it is almost that unless injury hits them, these two batters will be opening the innings for the team during the tournament. Hence, Jaiswal is going mostly as a reserve opener.

Instead, India can take Tilak Varma, who has the batting form and can also be a part of playing bringing in a bit of dynamism in the middle order. Along with this change if India can take Abhishek Sharma in Sundar's place then the reserve opener problem will also be solved. Besides, they can always take Jaiswal was a travelling reserve, because he has been in that kind of form where you cannot ignore him completely.
