Abhishek’s father, Raj Kumar Sharma, emphasized Yuvraj Singh’s pivotal role in his son’s growth.
"Yuvraj Singh has played a major role in Abhishek's success. He has worked really hard on him, and Abhishek has also put in the effort. I'm very proud of my son, his hard work is taking him forward. This game is all about performance, and those who perform, move ahead," Raj Kumar told ANI.
Reflecting on SRH’s struggles, he added, "SRH is a very good team... but I don’t know why they couldn’t win more matches this year. Next year they’ll come with better preparation."
SRH Give Colossal Defeat To KKR
In their last match, SRH posted a colossal 278/3 against KKR, fueled by Heinrich Klaasen’s whirlwind 105* off 39 balls (the season’s fastest century in 37 deliveries) and Travis Head’s blistering 84 off 26. The total marked the third-highest in IPL history, though KKR crumbled to a 110-run defeat despite SRH’s bowling unit stepping up.
KKR’s chase unravelled early, skittled for 168 in 15.4 overs as Jaydev Unadkat, Eshan Malinga, and Harsh Dubey claimed three wickets each. Klaasen’s heroics earned him Player of the Match, though SRH’s campaign ended on a bittersweet note, with Abhishek Sharma’s consistency standing out as a silver lining.
