'You Tend to Cramp Up..,' Mehidy Hasan Miraz After Stunning Century vs AFG

It was a do-or-die match for the Bangladesh side in the fourth match of the Asia Cup 2023 against Afghanistan, on the verge of elimination, opener Mehidy Hasan Miraz took the responsibility of taking his side to the massive total of 334 by smashing a scintillating ton (112) with the help of seven sweet fours and three thrashing sixes that too by maintaining the strike rate of about 94 and in the end, he retired hurt after Lahore heat got better off him.
His contribution was equally well complemented by Najmal Hossain Shanto who also took the job in his hands and did a commendable job by scoring 104. Later, Afghanistan were folded for just 245 with Miraz chipping in with one wicket as the Tigers secured the victory by 89 runs to stay in the race for Super 4s.
After the game, the all-rounder spoke about his knock where he explained that the batting wasn't difficult on this wicket which helped them to score big.
Mentioning his partnership, he praised Shanto for his excellent knock once again. Also, the right-hander commented on his injury revealing that in hot temperatures, the body cramps up.
"Really happy. The team management believed in me so I played well today. It was a good wicket, the ball was coming well on to the bat nicely. It was an excellent partnership between Shanto and I. He has played well in back-to-back games. We rotated the strike nicely. When the conditions are hot you tend to cramp up, like I did today."
After this victory, Bangladesh's fortune are in the hands of Sri Lanka who will face Afghanistan on 5th September.
