Wasim Akram slammed a fan for a derogatory remark made about his wife Shaniera on Instagram after the couple had posted a happy New Year's wish for the fans and followers. The Pakistan fast-bowling legend lambasted the fan and said he would like to meet his parents and talk to them.

The former Pakistan captain and his wife had merely posted a picture together on Wasim's Instagram handle before a fan made a disrespectful comment about Shaniera. To this, Wasim lost his cool and belted this fan with a befitting reply.

"Here’s hoping for a better year! Wishing you and your families all the love, safety and prosperity for 2024, all the best from my family to yours," Wasim had captioned the post.

However, soon a fan entered the comment section and made an inappropriate comment on Shaniera, which was never going to do down well with the 'Sultan Of Swing'.

Wasim Slams Fan Over Inappropriate Remark

"You think that’s the appropriate thing to say? I wish to meet your parents and tell them what have they created total douche," Wasim said in reply to a fan who commented on his wife even as the couple was happy to wish a healthy and happy New Year's 2024 to their fans on the social media platform.

This isn't the first instance where the usually calm and composed Wasim has lost his temper on a fan over derogatory remarks.

Following Pakistan's painstaking defeat in the semifinal of the 2021 T20 World Cup in UAE, a fan made nasty comments and abused left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi for giving away runs at a critical stage.

Wasim took offence to this and gave the person an online stick.

"You don't have manners to respect your elders. You are speaking rubbish about your own player. You have absolutely no shame," Wasim had said on A Sports.

"Just have a look at what he said about Shaheen Afridi. I'm fuming. I wish ki tu mere saamne hota. (I wish you were in front of me)," he added.
