Lucknow Super Giants find themselves stranded at number 4 on the points table as they falter against Rajasthan Royals. Batting first, captain, KL Rahul, admitted to being 20 runs short on that sort of wicket after scoring 196.

KL Rahul, continued his good run with the bat as he scored 76(48) and stitched a 115-run partnership with Deepak Hooda, who scored a 31-ball-50. However, after getting set, both failed to double it up.

RR, despite some early hiccups, chased the score with 7 wickets and an over spare to continue their rein at the top.

While reviewing the game, the LSG skipper, KL Rahul focused on the importance of capitalizing on the momentum that they had shifted towards themselves.

"We left about 20 runs behind. We didn’t get an ideal start but with the partnership me and Hooda had was great. In these sorts of games, the set batter had to score close to a hundred after getting to 50-60. We were 150 after about 15 overs, should have capitalized on it. Evidently, the team with more sixes ends up winning. We tried to do it but early wickets didn't help."

Talking about the usage of Amit Mishra and holding Ravi Bishnoi back for the end, Rahul admitted to the plan back-firing.

"Mishra is an experienced player and today was a day we knew he could be useful with his pace and larger boundaries. However, they put pressure on us. Krunal bowled well but then they attacked the pacers. I couldn't get Bishnoi on, wanted to keep him for Rovman and Hetmyer," Rahul concluded.

After a disappointing result against Rajasthan, LSG sit at the fourth place in the points tally, with 5 wins and 4 losses top their name.
