Ravichandran Ashwin recently hosted Kolkata Knight Rider's mentor, Gautam Gambhir on his YouTube channel for the final episode of his show, KuttiStoriesWithAsh. The oh-so charismatic Gambhir who is known to make big declarations has once again turned heads with a bold statement. 

In response to a question asked by Ashwin, the WC winner responded by saying:

"You know he doesn't smile, he doesn't laugh, he's always intense, he's always grumpy, he's always walking on the edge, he always has a game face on. But people don't come to watch me smile, they come to watch me win and that's the kind of profession we guys are in."

Gambhir's return to KKR has been more than magical, his homecoming has done absolute wonders for the entire contingent, so much so that the team has cruised straight to the top of IPL's points table with 19 points and moreover the first team to qualify. 

The brilliance and brains of Gambhir, have helped KKR rebuild from their defeats and get an in-depth understanding of their lows resulting in them always bouncing back.

While KKR's last two games were washed out, they would finally lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad for Qualifier 1 of IPL 2024 on Tuesday, 21st May.
