In a thrilling encounter between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC), Ishan Kishan played a pivotal role not only with the bat but also showcased his skills behind the stumps, contributing significantly to MI's victory.

Reflecting on the win, Kishan emphasized the importance of his role as a wicketkeeper in setting up the right field placements.

"Very good. We were talking to our coaches on what fielding to set. As a wicket-keeper, I have a big role to play. I know it’s difficult for the captain to get the best field set. It’s my job to know the angles and set the right field. Those angles, it’s all on the wicket-keeper," said Kishan in the post-match interview.

MI posted a formidable total of 234 runs, largely thanks to the aggressive batting display by Kishan himself, who scored 42 runs off just 23 balls, including four fours and two sixes before his dismissal by Axar Patel. Alongside his batting heroics, Kishan's wicketkeeping skills were on full display during DC's innings, where he executed some stunning catches and displayed sharp reflexes behind the stumps.

The match witnessed a fiery start from MI's openers, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan, who laid the foundation with a flurry of boundaries. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, MI managed to post a daunting total of 235 runs, with crucial contributions from skipper Hardik Pandya and an explosive cameo from man of the match, Romario Shepherd.

Kishan's all-round performance was instrumental in MI's triumph, as they defended their total against a spirited chase from DC, ultimately emerging victorious.
